New Bags! Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors & Chanel

Hey everyone! I'm so beyond thrilled that it's Christmas season. Everything is always lovely during this time of the year, great food, Christmas music is on the radio, parties everywhere, and presents! The last three months of the year are always my favourite because my birthday is in November, so celebrations are constant. There are literally 10 girls in my sorority that are born in November, and I just love celebrating everyone's birthday. The only sucky thing about December are final exams, which I'm done all but one. Wish me luck!

So speaking my birthdays, I recently received a few rather large presents from my family/myself. My parents made a month long trip to Hong Kong in November and came back with several very surprising gifts. As a disclaimer, I obviously did not purchase all of ethese bags on my own, nor could I personally afford to do so. However I do have generous parents and grandparents who spoil me here and there, but in no way do we make purchases like this regularly.

Without further adieu, lets get to my new babies.

Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM in Damier Azur
This amazing baby my birthday gift/Christmas gift from my parents and it was purchased in Hong Kong. My mom and I were deciding a while ago which entry level LV we wanted and it was either the Neverfull or the Speedy. I ultimately chose this one because of it's bigger size and versatility. It can be worn both as a shoulder bag and as a tote, which I love! Tons of ladies also love wearing the Neverfull with the straps cinched in the bag which completely changes its look, which is another great thing about this bag. It's honestly never full... I'm one to sleep over at my boyfriend/friend's places all the time so it's important that this bag can fit absolutely everything; and the neverfull really can. It's such a nice casual bag; I'd definitely recommend it as a starter Louis Vuitton!

Michael Kors Large Studded Selma Saffiano Tote in Vanilla
You will not believe the deal I got on this baby. I literally purchased at the MK store yesterday and I'm still in shock about the AMAZING deal. So this normally goes for $428 retail, but I found this amazing bag literally marked down 2 hours ago (says the SA) to $238! I whipped out my card so fast it was insane. I knew that if I had waited even a few hours, this gem would have been long sold out. I was deciding between the largest white studded selma and a smaller red one. I ultimately decided on this one because it's such a nice structured bag and could fit my Macbook, which was the deciding factor.

But this bag is seriously awesome. I actually have the tiniest Selma Messenger Bag (there's no arm strap and is only about 1/4 of the size) and I loved how durable the Saffiano leather was. It was pretty much scratch resistent and I didn't feel bad about taking it out in rain at all! I love how it's so structured, since all my papers and books in school won't get crumpled! The best part about this bag to be is that it's definitely a "big girl" bag, yet still looks young and stylish. I decided on the studded version because the original was almost too "big girl", but the studs add a touch of freshness! Love!

Chanel Small Quilted Boy Bag in Black with Silver Hardware
Lets be honest. I'd never be able to afford this. Probably ever. My grandparents live in Hong Kong and I haven't been able to return since 2007, so each time my parents visit, my grandparents get me a gift for several occasions combined. Well, last time it was an iPod when I was 15, so safe to say I was not expecting a Chanel bag for my life. It came as a complete surprise to me when I picked up my parents from the airport, when my mom told me: "You will die when you find out what grandpa bought you." She was right. I died.

Chanel is probably my favourite brand ever. I love the look of this bag with a simple leather jacket, jeans and heels. The leather on this bag is buttery soft, completely smooth and everything is made flawlessly. I believe my mom had a hand in choosing this for me because she figured that since I purchased a vintage beige mini flap with gold hardware, I needed a black bag with silver hardware. She was completely right. The style of this bag is amazing and SO edgy, completely different from my mini flap. It's so young and modern looking, but still looks so classically Chanel. I LOVE IT.

Well that's it everybody. This has been the best Christmas ever. I have no words. To everybody out there who celebrates Christmas, I wish you the joy through the holiday season!

PS. Don't mind the weird bathroom selfies, it was the only place where I had a mirror big enough to see my entire body!

Tons of Love, Erica

Autumn Eyes Inspired By Kristen Stewart

For some reason, when someone says "Kristen Stewart" I really never think of Bella Swan. She just seems like the polar opposite of the plain girl who falls in love with Edward. Instead Kristen's style is more of a grungy, laid-back kind of look which I really love even though it's nothing like what I normally dress like. But I'm encouraged to dress like her when I'm at school! (except for the dirty hair, that I can never understand) But there was this one makeup look of hers that consisted this crazy red eyeshadow for an event that I sort of toned down a little for myself. Here it is!

Oh dear my hair looks hella red in these pics!

Face:
Makeup Forever HD Primer in Clear

& That's it everybody! I hope you are enjoying the first week back at school! I know I'm not...

Hauling from The Big Apple

Hello lovelies, again, sorry for not posting for a few months again but I've been struggling with the summer semester and battling that along with 2 jobs for a while... Phew! Thank god that's over! So this summer has got to be one of the most meaningless ones I've had in my life, but thankfully I squeezed in a trip to New York City during my last week of summer for some retail therapy. It has been about a year and a half since I've set foot in the Big Apple, but since I'm from Toronto which is only an 8 hour drive away, I figured why not!

As usual, going to the USA require some big shopping for us Canadians, so it all began at outlet malls and MAC. To be honest this isn't a huge haul but does include something super awesome to me... My first pair of brand new Jimmy Choos!

These are my newest babies! They're the Jimmy Choo Vamp Pumps in Galactic Glitter! So I found these at the Jimmy Choo outlet when I was at Woodbury Common (heaven on earth for designer stores) and they were having 50% off storewide! Granted most of these shoes aren't the latest season, but I got these for $425! Even Kate Middleton owns a pair of these babies! I'm not normally one for spending loads on shoes (never owned a pair more than $150!), but my perspective has changed since getting older because I'd now rather have something that would last me years instead of being in this season.

I bought the Lancome Hypnose Mascara at the new Lancome outlet at Woodbury again! I've never been there before since I believe it opened recently. This is my second tube of this stuff and it's amazing! It's the only high end mascara I buy! The price was unbelievable too since it's normally $34 at Sephora in Canada but I got it for $22 at the outlet!

I got MAC's Rebel and Up the Amp Lipstick from the MAC Store in Times Square. Ofcourse I can get all this in Canada too, but man, it's so cheap to buy MAC in the USA! These lippies were $15 with barely any taxes, but in Canada they'll come to over $20 each after tax!

Nothing special, just another one of my favourites! This liner is one of my favourites aside from the Loreal because it's so black and so thin!

I figured since I have an issue with remembering to put on sunscreen everyday, this will definitely help! It's a tinted stick sunscreen so it doubles as a foundation! I got it for $24 at the Duty Free Shop which was fabulous! This thing normally goes for $40+!

See! Told you guys it wasn't a huge haul. I'm thinking of putting out a humble little shoe collection post. What do you guys think! Let me know!

The Hauls: Chanel, Shiseido, NARS and Lisa's Warehouse Sales and more!

Hello my beautiful friends on this absolutely beautiful day in Toronto! The sun is shining, I'm busting out the summer dresses and have officially finished my first year of university, plus gotten the grades I needed to fulfill my program! This is one of the moments where I feel awesome about life. Things have really been going well for me as I've found a much better paying job and yet have
to work less hours, which means I got more time to wine, dine and write about makeup! Haha, lets just get to the good stuff. So I've got this nasty habit of periodically procrastinating to look at pretty things while I'm supposed to be studying for exams, and this is what I came up with!

PS. I attended the infamous Shiseido/NARS and Lisa's Cosmetics Warehouse Sales! Man, there were amazing deals as always.

Vintage Chanel Mini Flap Bag in Beige
This is probably the coolest thing I've ever gotten for myself since the beginning of time. My mother and I have always been obsessed with the timelessly stylish Chanel flap bag style and wanted to buy one since ever. Somehow I finally got the courage to get it recently through an online vintage store and have been loving it ever since!

Shiseido Benefiance 3-piece Set - $35 (My mum's purchase)

Stila 5-piece Brush Set - $13

Clean + Easy Waxes - $9 each from Sallys. Buy one get one free deal for my lovely wax warmer! (Got another pot sitting inside it right now)

Miss Dior Cherie Eau De Parfum - $60. This scent is amazing, it's sweet but still super versatile.

Sonia Kashuk 5-piece Brush Set - $15 from Target. You honestly don't know how happy/excited I am that Target finally decided to open in Canada!

Shiseido Cream Shadows in H5 and H13 - $10 each. Beautiful eh? They're a super pretty icy blue eye look when worn together!

Shiseido Blush Compact in Rose Nuance - $15 from Shiseido. (My mum's purchase) The rose pattern was to die for!

Shiseido Compact in Camelia - $15 from Shiseido. (My mum's purchase)

Joico Restorative Styling Oils - $4 each! This was one of the best deals of the day! I'm a big hair oil/serum junkie so I had to pick up two since I go through them so fast!

Juicy Couture Mini Viva La Juicy Set - $22. Honestly this is one of my favorite scents. When I'm done this bottle I'll definitely go full size!

NARS Soft Touch Shadow Stick in Goddess - $10. This is an amazing inner corner brightener!

NARS Concealer Stick in Honey - $10. Another great deal!

Joico Restorative Treatment - $4. I got a tiny version of this in one of the past sales and loved it!

Joico Spiker Gel Sets - $4. Got 3 of these for my boyfriend since he uses this gel religiously!

Shiseido Eyeshadow Quad in Rose Tones - $15 (My mum's purchase)

NARS Night Series Eyeshadow Palette - $30. This is the most expensive thing I bought at the sale, but well worth it because I've always wanted to try their Night Series shadows! Come on, there's six different shadows!

NARS Cream Blush in Penny Lane - $15

NARS Eyeshadow Duos in Misfit and Melusine - $10 each. The NARS duos have always been a great deal at the sales!

NARS Beach Lover Set - $25. Includes a mini Highlighter/Blush duo in Hungry Heart/Orgasm, an Illuminator in Laguna, a Lipgloss in Laguna and a Soft Touch Shadow in Skorpio!

This is it! Well, I didn't include most of my Lisa's Cosmetics Sale Haul because I just had a hard time finding everything! I also didn't include one of my other favourites, the Gucci Flora Perfume in Eau Fraiche.

That's really it for my haul! Hope you enjoyed seeing pretty pictures of makeup and stay tuned for more of my face! I've got a facial appointment in half an hour so I've gotta run. Talk to you guys soon!
